There are over 400,000 foster children in the United State, with over 14,000 of those being in the state of Missouri. As these young people approach legal adulthood, they face the unrealistic expectation that they will be able to succeed on their own when they turn 18. The truth is approximately half of all kids who age out of the system without a permanent place to call home, struggle with homelessness, poverty, and incarceration once exiting care. With this information in mind Grace Place Childrens Home was founded.
Grace Place Children’s Home is working to become a community of houses, each equipped with the resources needed to take care of the physical and emotional needs of foster youth; providing them a safe, stable, loving environment while they are in the care of the state.
